Oak Class - Year 2 - Beoley First School

We have been having lots of fun this term in Maple Class learning about our topics on plants and minibeasts.

We have planted sunflowers and beans in our classroom and are watching them grow. We have had great fun learning about different minibeasts and exploring them in our school environment. We have looked closely at the minibeast: the ladybird. We have been learning about it's lifecycle and we now know that ladybirds start off as eggs, they then grow into a larvae and then the go into shell called a pupa and pop out as an adult ladybird.

In English we have been reading lots of stories by the author Julia Donaldson. Our favourite has been 'The Gruffalo' and we have done lots of exciting work on it.

Watch this space as have lots of exciting things planned for the rest of the term!
