Welcome to the Governors page of Beoley First School. My name is Linda Urquhart
and I am currently serving as the Chairperson of the Governing Body. Our role is to
oversee the running of the school with the Head Teacher Sally Davies, in areas such
as finance, curriculum, staffing, pay, and performance, buildings, health and
safety. We are also responsible for the H.T performance management, together
with our School Improvement Partner.
It is the governor's role to act as 'a critical friend' to the head teacher,
which means that we help, advise, and act as a sounding board.
We have recently had the school's current Raise on Line report, and we were delighted
to see that Sally and the staff and pupils have achieved results significantly
above the national average, across all areas.
Well done to them for all of their hard work!
If you do have any concerns you wish to discuss, the Parent Governors are regularly in
the playground, and will be happy to listen.
